At Hammersmith and Fulham, we are transforming and repositioning our Business Intelligence Service so it’s able to optimise its contribution to the organisation.
Already benefiting from leading edge technology and a commercial mindset, we are now seeking to build on this as we transfer back services provided through a tri-borough arrangement.
This is both an exciting and ideal time for you to join us. You will quickly be able to make your mark in shaping an innovative Business Intelligence Service. You’ll find yourself challenged and rewarded in equal measure; taking a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of service provision and reporting during and after the transition.
You’ll work closely with the business, initially within our Children’s and Adult services, to help manage change and plan for the future. You’ll ensure that the function is aligned to support delivery of the Council’s priorities and is able to respond to changing demographics and service demands. This will include leading on bringing together performance analysis and insight across key areas e.g. family services, schools, early years, preventative services, short term support and complex needs services, customers, finance, and with key partners e.g. health, to provide a more holistic view of performance.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to incorporate how business intelligence can support the organisation's needs. You’ll also support and empower managers to better utilise business information through PowerBI. Going forward, it is intended this will then free further capacity for you and your team to work more proactively in helping to influence market and service provision.
We are looking for a creative and solution orientated Business Analyst or Project Manager with expertise in process design and the use of analytics. This will be combined with experience and understanding of the demands and complexities of people services e.g. health, education, social services.
Aside from the above, you will have excellent IT skills, be able to develop strong relationships with different stakeholders and be outcome focused.
Hammersmith and Fulham is a borough that benefits enormously from a rich diversity of iconic buildings, conservation areas, successful businesses, major centres of health and education and three famous football teams. It is also a highly desirable place to live. It is constantly evolving and reshaping itself to meet the needs of its changing population, in what is one of London’s most densely populated areas.
As a council, we are hugely ambitious and constantly strive to be the best. Our vision is to place business intelligence at the heart of the Council and its work, reforming public services by building a respected, credible, innovative and resilient service.
